Sometimes I find it hard to talk about my artwork. It is an automatic thing that I do. The only thoughts I am aware of are all the little choices I make in a drawing. A line a shape a shadow the edge where things meet up or fall away. It is also important not to rush a layer of a drawing. Let it build its surface in it own time.
I have to admit, doing tutorials has helped me understand my own process much better, but there is definitely that period of time when the muse and the pen/brush are talking directly and cutting out the brain altogether!
