Sometimes the drawing process just begins with some bit of something sitting on the drawing table. The pages this week have evolved from a Popsicle stick. It is a simple stencil shape. The more it is repeated the more it transforms into a pattern or a ground or the focus of a drawing. There is much more to do with these pages but this is how they start. There are many times I will carry a shape from page to page until I discover exactly what it wants to say. I am looking forward to the weekend and letting it speak.
